In late May, I stopped by UBC Kelowna to work on some plexiglass prints using their UV inks and drying system to test adherence and layering. I was pleased with the results and will now plan a series of larger works on plexiglass. Many thanks to Briar Craig for letting me use the studio. Shoot him a line if you want to propose a short residency in the lovely Okanagan valley.

Resonance (Canadian Printmaking Exhibition in Beijing)
Guy Langevin has kindly sent along a photo of my work set up in Beijing at the Resonance exhibition that he helped to curate and organize. I also have some links to articles written about the exhibition:
New Work – Destination: Serbia
I finished two new silkscreens recently in anticipation of an upcoming exhibition this summer in Belgrade, Serbia. They will be joining a series of my silkscreens from the past few years in a solo exhibition and will then be part of a two-person exhibition as part of the Drypoint Biennial in Uzice.

Printed In Canada/Taiwan
About a year ago, I was invited by Guy Langevin to participate in a print exhibition that would take place in Taiwan. 25 Canadian artists were to exhibit our works in Taiwan and 25 Taiwanese artists were to exhibit their work here (well, in Quebec). Guy invited three artists from the exhibition (myself, Deborah Chapman, and Mylene Gervais) and a representative from Trois Rivieres (Marie-Eve Berube) to accompany him to the opening in August. It was a whirlwind three days in Taiwan and we were welcomed by the generous and extremely friendly Taiwanese artists. The exhibition would serve as a way for artists in each country to show their works and to build relationships between artists and institutions beyond the exhibition. A catalogue of all of the works in both exhibitions is available.

New Etching
I’m currently en route to Asia where I’ll be attending the opening of Printed in Canada – an exhibition curated by Guy Langevin and featuring the works of 25 Canadian printmakers. Prior to heading off on my trip, I completed a new etching as part of my new series The Body Stranger. More to come about Taiwan after the opening! (sorry the colour is a bit off in the photo)
New Etchings
Being the summer, I have a bit more time in the studio available and have started producing some new etchings and silkscreens. Here’s the first round, all are etching and chine colle.
New Large Plexiglass Works
I recently packed up my exhibition in SNAP’s mainspace. The exhibition featured two brand-new works, part of my large plexiglass series dealing with space, perception and collapsed time. Both works are 6 feet x 4 feet.
